SA Vows Government Promises To Assist Zola 7

The government of South Africa has promised to assist legendary Kwaito star Bonginkosi “Zola 7 Dlamini.

This comes after Mzansi cried out concerning Zola 7’s well-being when a heartbreaking video of the musician surfaced on the internet.

Over the weekend, Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture, and Recreation, Mbali Hlophe visited Zola 7 and offered to assist him.

In a statement, Hlophe revealed that even though Zola 7 is in a better state now, the department will help him financially and even with his health.

Hlophe added that the department has offered Zola a three-phase intervention that will not only focus on his health but also a functional structure that is resourceful.

“Whilst not fully recovered and still requiring attention, he is in a better state and has been able to relay to the MEC some of the financial difficulties he is confronted with, to which the department has committed to work with him and integrate him within its programs.”

“In this regard, the department has offered Zola a three-phase intervention plan that will not only focus on his wellbeing (health) but also ensure a functional structure that is resourceful and sustainable”

“Following the visit, I’m comforted that he’s in a better state than he was the last time we visited. Whilst not fully recovered, consistent participation within the SILAPHA Wellness Program will aid in this path to recovery,” reads the statement.

To help with his financial woes, the government is set to organise a benefit concert.

Meanwhile, Zola 7’s team has denied claims that he received R1 million from wealthy businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize.

Through his official Instagram account, Zola 7’s team denied such claims vehemently saying he had never received any millions from anybody.

We request that Media kindly report only truth that is verified to avoid spreading false information. Zola has not received any millions / million from any funder as widely alleged / spread,” reads the statement.
