Kairo Forbes is probably one of the “richest” and most in-demand babies to Mzansi corporates.
The 7-year-old girlie definitely inherited strong business acumen from her mommy, who owns her own alcohol and fashion range, and dad AKA who was the brand ambassador of Cruz Vodka and will soon launch his own alcohol.
Despite being so young, she is already venturing into fashion and now owns her range. To celebrate her 7th birthday yesterday, Kairo launched a kiddies’ jewellery line, Out Of This World, which is a collaboration with her mom DJ Zinhle’s accessories label Era By Zinhle.
With more than 1 million followers on Instagram, the 7-year-old daughter of DJ Zinhle and rapper AKA did not waste a chance to monetise her followership. The amount of money Kairo charges for Instagram adverts will leave you dumbfounded.
Inquiries made by iHarare have revealed that Kairo Forbes charges R18,000 for Instagram adverts. If you have a product that you want to market to Kairo’s plus 1 million followers, then you have to part with a stiff R18,000.
The 7-year-old definitely does not run her Instagram account. The page is managed by her paternal grandmother Lynn Forbes.
Kairo’s childhood and life are already set, despite already having rich and famous parents. Her parents have for long been lining up deals for her, so she makes her own cash.
In 2021, Kairo penned a two-year business deal worth a staggering R8 million with Lifebuoy South Africa. The deal included an educational scholarship running up to degree level, birthday sponsorships over the contracted period, monthly R8 000 allowances, and once-off R1.1 million in donations to a charity of her own choice.
A few years back, yoghurt manufacturer Nutriday paid Kairo Forbes R 5.8 million to be their brand ambassador and face of their promotional competitions. Before her 5th birthday in 2020, Kairo signed a six-month R 1.9 million advertising contract with skincare giant Nivea.
She has previously worked with Truworths and Disney Africa.
